B&B-AGEMA has over 20 years of experience in borescope design for industrial and heavy duty gas turbine applications. From short-term monitoring of the combustion processes in a gas turbine combustor during experimental testing phase to the permanent in-service-monitoring of turbine stator vanes, B&B-AGEMA provides borescopes to cover a wide application range. Until today more than 70 borescope units have been successfully commissioned worldwide.

The modular design basis allows the borescope geometry to be tailormade to the requirements of the target application by adjusting the length, diameter, viewing angle and optical spectrum (VIS or IR). Depending on its configuration the borescopes can withstand pressures up to 24 bar and temperatures up to 1470°C due to the utilization of sophisticated cooling techniques (air and water cooling).

The application of modern simulation tools as CFD, CHT and FEA are a crucial part in the development process.
