We are happy to announce that our joint paper "Mission Cycles Simulation of Concentrated Solar Power High-Pressure Steam Turbine via Coupled Thermo-Mechanical Simulations" has been accepted to the conference. Congratulations to the authors!
The paper investigates an integrated Whole Engine Model approach, aimed at efficiently investigating the operational cycles of a high-pressure steam turbine module by means of co-simulation between a thermo-structural model and a 1D fluid network solver. Through this approach, it is possible to design optimal operational cycles that ensure maximum flexibility and durability within the limits imposed by the power plant and the machine itself.
