The initial spark in 1995 for the company foundation by Univ.-Prof. (full professor) Dr.-Ing. Dieter Bohn was the great demand of world-leading OEM companies, e.g. Siemens and Pratt & Whitney, for analyses, evaluation and improvement of their gas turbine compressors and which these companies asked him for directly.
Since its foundation by Univ.-Prof. (full professor) Dr.-Ing. Dieter Bohn in 1995, the company provides its services for the benefit of its national and international clients. B&B-AGEMA provides innovative services on design, calculations and expertise for energy conversion machinery and plants, in particular for gas turbines, steam turbines, expanders, compressors, pumps and combustion systems. A special focus is laid on the progressive design of the major gas turbine components (compressor, combustion chamber, turbine) with respect to highest efficiency, availability and operational reliability.
Another main focus of activities is related to the design and optimisation of power plant components by application of modern computational tools, in particular for components as water separators, reheaters, steam condensers, wet cooling towers, heat exchangers, mixing & control valves and exhaust duct systems.
B&B-AGEMA develops on demand user-specific calculation and simulation software. Furthermore, several helpful software products have been developed by B&B-AGEMA for support
The B&B-AGEMA experts have long-year experiences on failure analyses and technical expertise on power plant and turbomachinery failures, in particular for gas turbines and steam turbines.
The projects are performed by application of modern and high-quality computational tools for flow simulation, heat transfer calculation, and mechanical strength analyses. The clients benefit not only from the obtained project results but also from the established know-how transfer.
